Thanks for stopping by my Pro Outdoorsman site. My name is Chris Schlieper and I have a background in the outdoors as a professional outdoor guide. I graduated with a diploma from a professional outdoorsman school in 1984. I have also worked for many years as a professional hunting and fishing guide, as well as a packer in some of the largest wilderness areas and national forests in America.

Over the years of my works and travels I began to realize that the outdoors are some of the greatest gifts we have as American citizens and the amount of knowledge to be learned is staggering. Knowing and experiencing the mountains is an art and it can be learned and taught. Thus I decided to start the Pro Outdoorsman website.

To cut a long story short, I have researched and used a great deal of outdoor gear, and learned a bunch of tips, tricks and just plain outdoor skills that I would like to share with you.

This site provides detailed reviews of some great products that I have used or seen used so that visitors can learn more about them and if they are the right ones for them. It also contains outdoor skills and tips that is hard to find anywhere else.
